On the occasion of Durga Puja, Bangladesh Television is going to show several special programs.
One the most anticipated ones is Vivek Burman and Hasan Riad’s “Pratima” starring Pran Roy, Sushama Sarker, Abdul Aziz, Sajjad Saju and many more.
The story of the drama begins with the artisanal crisis of idol making. In the drama story, Durga Puja has been taking place in Dutta’s house for many years. Once during puja, Salil Dutt’s daughter Pratima comes home from the city. She had loved a boy from her village for a long time but is unable to express her feelings. Ranjan with his degree in the fine arts helps to make Pratima for the Puja, which brings them closer.
But problem arises when Pratima’s father set her to be married elsewhere, crushing the couple’s dreams of ending up with eachother. Ranjan had lost his mother very young, subsequently he made the idol of Durga resemble his own mother. As the story escalates, the angst and drama intensify.
“Pratima” will be broadcast on October 12, Saturday at 9:05 PM.
Next is Vijaya Dashami’s “Uma Elo Barite.” The story revolves around newly married couple Uma and Shankar, celebrating their first Durga Puja together. But complications rise when Shankar is unable to leave his office. But after a while he is finally able to reach is village.
The show stars Shipan Mitra, Sanchita Dutta, Tapas Sarkar, Manoj Sengupta, Subarna Pal, Ratan Saha and many more. The dance was performed by Tanhik Dev and his troupe.
“Uma Elo Barite” will be broadcasted on October 13, Sunday at 10:30 PM.
