The Ministry of Youth and Sports today (Friday) trimmed to seven member contingent for the Paralympic Games which will begin from August 28 in France, said a Ministry of Youth and Sports press release today (Friday).
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain cancelled the Government Order (GO) of July 18 and approved the new GO of seven members instead of thirteen members contingent after the Ministry of Youth and Sports has taken note of the complaints aired in various media related to the team.
According to the decision of the Sports Advisor, the team of seven members who will go to Paris are Shaikh Abdus Salam (guest of organizing committee), Fakhruddin Haider (head of delegation), Monirul Islam (physician), Asif Sobhan (archery team official), Nishit Das (archery team coach), Joma Akter (archer), Al Amin Hossain (archer).
Those who have been omitted from the team are Rebeca Sultana (guest of organizing committee), Maksudur Rahman (guest of organizing committee) Nigar Haider (to support chef de Mission), Mohammad Faidssal Ahsan Ullah (team official) Aminul Islam and anaul Haque (government official).
