Gold prices hit historic high of Tk 1,22,985 a bhori

The price of gold has been increased in the country’s market. The price of the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) has been increased by Tk 2,904 to Tk 1,22,985. Through this, gold has risen to the highest price in the history of the country’s market.

This price has been increased in view of the increase in the price of acid gold (ripe gold) in the local market. Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) said that the new prices will be implemented from Monday (August 19).

Earlier in the country’s market, a lot of gold was sold at a maximum price of 1 lakh 20 thousand 81 taka. Gold has been sold at this price since July 15 this year.

Bajus Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee meeting on Sunday (August 18) decided to increase the price again. Later this information was informed in a circular signed by the chairman of the committee, Masudur Rahman.

According to the new price, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,904 to Tk 1,22,985. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been increased by Tk 2,776 to Tk 1,17,398.

Besides, the price of one 18 carat gold bar has been increased by 2 thousand 379 taka to 1 lakh 625 taka. And the price of one load of traditional gold has been increased by 1 thousand 971 taka to 83 thousand 199 taka.

Earlier, on July 15, the price of the best quality or 22 carat gold was increased by Tk 1,190 to Tk 1,20,81. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been increased by Tk 1,131 to Tk 1,14,622.

In addition, the price of 18 carat gold has been increased by Tk 968 to Tk 98 thousand 246. And according to the traditional method, the price of one load of gold has been increased by 85 taka to 81 thousand 228 taka. Gold has been sold at this price till Sunday.

Gold prices increased but silver prices remained unchanged. The price of 22 carat silver is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat is 1 thousand 715 taka and traditional method is 1 thousand 283 taka.
