Educational institutions will be closed for an 11-day stretch this month due to Durga Puja and the weekends.
According to the holiday list from the Ministry of Education, schools and colleges will be closed from Oct 9 to Oct 17.
Bijoya Dashami falls on Oct 13, Fateha-e-Yazdaham on Oct 15, and Lakshmi Puja and Prabarana Purnima on Oct 16.
Usually, employees get only one day off for Dashami during Durga Puja. But this year, as Dashami falls on Sunday, it will turn into a long three-day weekend after the usual weekend on Friday and Saturday.
